Why give?

Libraries are a powerful means to fulfill aspirations. They transport avid readers to far away worlds. They provide community members with equal access to innovative technology and information, regardless of age or ability.  Libraries are the community focal points where cultures meet.  Archives preserve the historical record and work tirelessly to safeguard and make accessible these treasures for the future

Why now?

Texas libraries need your help. They count on the extensive resources the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) provides. From community library programs to coordinated archival efforts, TSLAC promotes learning, literacy, and the preservation of Texas history on a statewide scale. You can learn more about TSLAC and how our nonprofit foundation, the Texas Library and Archives Foundation, was chartered to exclusively support their needs here.

Your tax-exempt gift to the foundation will empower TSLAC to strengthen the vast network of libraries that weave our cultures and communities together across Texas.
